Yirgacheffe Gedeb Wuri Woreda is located to the south of the Yirgacheffe woreda, within the Gedeo Zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People's Region (SNNPR) of
Ethiopia.
 
It's an area known for its high altitude coffee cultivation, with some farming areas reaching altitudes upto 2,100 meters above sea level(masl). The climate is humid, with a well-defined rainy season, typical of the Yirgacheffe region. The region's humid climate is consistent with the higher rainfall and lush vegetation found at these altitudes.
